FDA Approves Two Formulations of Bempedoic Acid for LDL-C Reduction

The FDA has granted approval for two formulations of bemepdoic acid for LDL-C reduction. The Nexlizet (bempedoic acid and ezetimibe) and Nexletol (bempedoic acid) tablets  are indicated as an adjunct to diet and maximally tolerated statin therapy for the treatment of adults with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH) or established atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD).

First FDA-Approved Liquid Formulation of Metformin Now Available in US

Riomet ER--the first and only FDA-approved liquid formulation of extended-release metformin -- is now available for use within the U.S. The formulation is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults and pediatric patients 10 years of age and older with type 2 diabetes.
